Leave winch safety chain (between boat & trailer) on until you have backed down the ramp, and are ready to launch.
Ensure that winch wire and hook are removed from the boat before the boat leaves the trailer. This will prevent the winch wire from being pulled from the winch drum. The boat can be held by way of a bow rope.
Loading
Fit safety chain before driving up the ramp.
Ensure that winch wire is not pulled too far out (always leave a few wraps of wire or rope on the drum). This will also prevent the wire being pulled from the drum.
Always secure rear of boat to the trailer, by way of a suitable ratchet type 'Tiedown'. This will prevent damage to the boat and trailer during transit, or in the event of an accident.
Tyres
Keep tyres fully inflated. Tyres should have maximum pressures displayed. If the instructions are not visible be sure to contact your local tyre shop or Voyager Trailers for reference.
A good rule of thumb is to inflate at a pressure between maximum and 5 or 10 psi less. This will assist in preventing side wall damage.
